Ingredients
High-quality purified or spring water
A clean, colored or clear glass bottle with a non-metallic lid (e.g., glass stopper, cork, or clean cloth)
Instructions
1. Wash your glass bottle and lid thoroughly with soap and water. Rinse well to remove any residue.
2. Fill the bottle with your purified water, leaving a little space at the top.
3. Cover the bottle with its non-metallic lid. If you don’t have one, you can cover the opening with a clean piece of cloth secured with a string.
4. Place the bottle in direct, bright sunlight. A sunny windowsill, patio, or garden spot works perfectly.
5. Leave the bottle in the sun for a minimum of 5 hours, but no more than 12 hours is recommended by most practitioners. Some leave it for up to 3 days, but start with a shorter duration.
6. Once charged, bring the bottle inside. You can drink the water immediately or store it at room temperature. Most people suggest consuming it within 24 hours.
Notes
– Only use glass containers. Never use plastic, as sunlight can cause harmful chemicals to leach into the water.
– Do not refrigerate the sun-charged water, as proponents believe the cold temperature diminishes the solar energy it has absorbed.
– Experiment with different colored bottles to experience solarized water color therapy.
